1. Reflection - The Mountain

Life is full of experiences up on the mountaintop and down in the valley. The time on the mountain can help us get through the valleys. But no matter where we are or what we are going through, God is there with us and we can praise Him for it all.

Matthew 5:1, 14:23, Luke 6:12

Seeing the crowds, Jesus went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him....And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray....In these days Jesus went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.

Psalm 23:4

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,

for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 46:1-3

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

3. Worship - Came To My Rescue

No matter what we are going through, God hears us and will rescue us. It may not be immediately, or how we envision the rescue, but He will work everything out for our good.

Romans 8:28.

When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.

I will rescue and honour them.

Psalm 118:21 (Amplified)

I will confess, praise, and give thanks to You, for You have heard and answered me;

and You have become my Salvation and Deliverer.

Galatians 1:2 (The Message Bible)

Jesus Christ rescued us from this evil world we’re in by offering himself as a sacrifice for our sins. God’s plan is that we all experience that rescue.

Glory to God forever! Oh, yes!

5. Worship - Trading My Sorrows

When we say yes to the Lord and follow His plan for our lives,

we trade our sorrows, sickness and shame for Joy!

And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9

persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

Galatians 3:10

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.

For his anger is but for a moment, and his favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.

Deuteronomy 7:9

But the steadfast love of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him,

and his righteousness to children's children, to those who keep his covenant and remember to do his commandments.
